Quiet, shaded park 4 blocks from scenic downtown Lake City. We rode our bikes all over town. Took the jeep to go fishing at Deer Lakes and sightseeing. Hummingbirds, mule deer and marmots to observe. This park recently changed ownership and they are working hard to make this a great park. We will return.

We can't wait to return to this park. Terrific campground, quiet, tall trees, everything clean. Plenty of bike and walking trails. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, wooded campground. Managed to get in our back-in site for our 38 ft. without problems. Park has one pull through site. Much cleanup still going on after the ice storm.

Beautiful state park, lots of trails and near the river. We got our 38 foot DP in with some careful back-in manuvering. Rate shown is for a full hookup site. Showers were solar heated and in a seperate building from the bathrooms. We will return if in the area.

This review is for Cottonwood campground and is the full-hookup section of the park. There are 2 other sections, one with no hookups (Willow Creek), and a marina. We found this to be an great place to overnight on our way to Wyoming. Some highway noise noted.Good paved sites with covered picnic tables, grill and fire-ring. Nice trails all over the park to bike or walk. We saw quail and lots of water birds. Will return if in the area.

This is a nice park with all the amenities we like. Quiet, country setting. We were late in arriving and they met us and led us to our site to make sure we got settled. Friendly owners and host. We will return.

Quiet, shaded sites in an older park. Many sites occupied with transient workers.

New park close to I-20 yet traffic noise is minimal. Large, paved sites with grass, trees, picnic table and firepit (park even provided firewood). Trash pickup daily at your site. Scenic setting with ponds, lodge, outdoor pavilion and park model cottages also available for rental. Shuttle to First Monday trade grounds. Free cable TV and the free WiFi signal was strong. Even though price was high for one overnight stay we will return to this park when shopping at First Monday.

Great park, easy in-out, gravel, roomy sites with a beautiful view of the old volcano. We decided to stay here instead of trying to go to Raton for the night and were very pleased. Now it will be our preferred choice for our overnight stay.

Lovely park on the south side of town. Enjoyed watching the occasional small plane take off and land from the municipal airport. Noise was never and issue. Playground is small. Deer and turkey sighted. Pool admission is $ 1.00, tennis courts and golf close by along with nice walking / biking trails. Creek to wade in.

Beautiful, quiet, country state park near Temple/Belton area. Bird watching, hiking trails, small playground and pavilion for group gatherings. Nightly rate does not include entrance fee. Bath-house is clean but needs updating. We will return.

Very well laid out, clean, quiet park with a mix of short & long term residents. Discounts for Good Sam, FMCA and others. Located on the west side of Loop 289 off of 34th street. Entrance is somewhat tight for big rigs but if you go slowly it is not a problem. Close to Texas Tech and shopping. We have stayed at 2 of the parks in the area and this one is the best. We plan to return.

Nice & Quiet park with open and wooded sites. Level gravel pads, large back-in and good pull thru sites. Good store and friendly staff that escorted us to our site and got us settled. Road to the park is somewhat narrow and twisty but if you take it slowly you have no problem. There were some low overhanging branches on the road due to the recent storms over that area. Park also had some damage from fallen trees that they were in the process of cleaning up. Park is located 1.5 mi. south of I-20.

Nice friendly staff, we were late arriving and they left the directions to our site posted on the office door then called the next day to see if we had made it in. Located 2 hours east of Dallas with easy access from I-20. Level, concrete pull-thrus with picnic table. Dog walk area with poop bags/trashcan. We will put a star by this park and stay there again.

Nice location on the north-east side of city near Barnes Crossing mall, restaurants, Walmart, Sam's Club & Cracker Barrel. Follow directions from Natchez Trace parkway or 78. Park has combination of gravel & concrete pads. Shaded with tall trees, no problem for satellite dish. We were parked close to another MH due to Furniture Market (every Feb. & Aug.) but still had plenty of room for slides. We will return.
